About Kenya

The country is 582,646 sq. km and has a population of over 30 milLion people. The capital city is Nairobi.

The equator line passes through the country, dividing it into roughly two equivalent parts.

Around the snow capped Mt. Kenya the temperatures go as low as 12 o c to as high as 35 o c around Lake Turkana. The country offers tremendous sunset and sun rising views.

The people are friendly, mainly of African descent, and are divided into Bantu, Nilote and Cushite speaking tribes. Most communities, the Maasai being the symbol, cherish their culture and showcase them to frequent tourists that visit their locale.

About Nairobi

Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya located at 1°16' S 36°48' E. The average daily temperature range between The city has many interesting places that you can visit, they include:

The National Museum,

At the national museum, one will get to see plenty of tradition artifacts, beautiful paintings, varieties of reptiles, mammals and preserved birds.

The Masai Market,

The market is usual located in the heart of the city. Maasai ornaments, paintings, sculptures and woodcarvings, shukas (cloaks), Sandals among many other things are sold here.

The Nairobi National Park,

Situated a few kilometers from the city center, the national park is inhabited by many different species of animals. The animal species include Buffalos, antelopes, cheetahs among many others.

Mamba Village,

This the largest crocodile farm in the country, it is best visited in the evenings around 5 pm when they are feeding. The village has an attractive botanical village worth visiting

Karen Blixen National Museum and Coffee garden

This garden is situated in the outskirts of the city. The coffee garden has an architectural impression of a museum. It is a restaurant too worth visiting.

Giraffe Centre,

It is sited in Lang'ata a short drive away from the city center. While in Nairobi it is worth taking an excursion to the center. At the center you will get to experience feeding the giraffes.
