The Selenkay Conservation Area

This is an eco tourism area found some few kilometers north of Amboseli National Park. It is a tourists' destination. The wildlife here are protected by a warder and game scouts. Four wheel drive vehicles are ideal to be used during game viewing. Animals found here include Zebra, Impala, Striped Hyena, porcupine, Gazelles, Gerenuk, Mongoose, Serval Cat, Giraffe, Warthog and Wildebeest.

Kakamega Forest Kakamega forest is an interesting eco-tourism destination. This tropical rain forest is rich of indigenous trees. The animal species found here include more than 30 kinds of snake that include Black Mamba, cobra and vipers other inhabitants in the park include red and blue tailed Monkeys, colobus Monkeys, porcupines, butterflies and over 350 bird species. Accommodation is available in the bandas, campsites and the guest house.

Ol Kinyei Conservancy This conservancy is located 18 KM miles from The Maasai Mara Game Reserve border. This eco-tourism destination as set aside by the Maasai community to create a wildlife conservancy. The conservancy offers an outstanding sun downing spot. Savannah foliage and rivers characterize the landscape here. The animal species found here include Lions, Wildebeests, and giraffes among others. When on a visit to this wildlife sanctuary, accommodation is normally offered in Porini Mara camp.

Kogio Private Conservancy This 3,500 acre private conservancy is located about 45 KM south of lake Nakuru. The animal species found here include giraffes and Zebras among others. Sometimes pythons and hippos are spotted. Other activities in the conservancy include learning to identify wild animals spoors. Accommodation is available in the lodge and camps.

Siana Springs Wildlife Trust This conservancy is found along the Maasai Mara Game Reserve and is owned by local Maasai. The animal species found here include Lion, Buffalo, Rhino, cheetah, Leopard, Hyena and Eland among others. The terrain here is covered by savannah vegetation. While at Siana Springs accommodation is available in the lodge and tented camps.

Lewa Wildlife Conservancy This exemplary conservancy is located in the Northern part of the Kenya. The animal species found here include Elephants, Rhino, Sitatunga (an aquatic antelope) Lion, Leopard, Hyena, Cheetah, and Grevy Zebra among others. Accommodation facilities are provided in deluxe camps.

OL Pejeta Conservancy This unique 90,000-acre conservancy is sited near Mt. Kenya and Aberdare ranches in Laikipia District. It is about two and half hours drive from Nairobi. The animal species found here include Lion, Elephant, Chimpanzeess, Rhino, Buffalo and Leopard. Other activities that you can engage in the conservancy include bush walks and night drives among others. While on a visit to the conservancy accommodation can either be offered in the sweet waters tented camps or the Ol pejeta house depending on your preferred choice.

Ol Donyo Wuas This 300,000-acre eco-tourism destination is located in the foot of Chyulu hills. It offers a superb view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The prevailing vegetation here is savannah type. There are over 30 animal species here and they include Impala, Eland, Zebra, Lion, Wildebeest and Gerenuk among others. Accommodation is offered in luxurious cottages. Activities here include day and night drives, horse back rides, guided walks.

Ol Malo- laikipia This 5,000-acre game sanctuary cum ranch is sited near Ewaso Nyiro River in the northern frontier district. The animal species found here include Zebra, Lion, Elephant, Wild dog, Gerenuk, Gazelles, Hyena, Buffalo, Impala, Hartebeest among others. While here you can indulge in game drives, photography, horse trails and nature walks. The ranch offers accommodation to its visitors in the cottage. After hot daylong game drive visitors have an option of relaxing in the cooling waters of the swimming pool.
