The Rhino Charge
This annual event is held in May. It involves driving your 4WD Vehicle through rugged landscape, bush, dry watercourse and rocky terrain to reach the finishing zone. The event is mainly organized to raise funds for Rhino Ark that deals in conservation of wildlife in the Aberdare National Park, which is inhabited by the Black Rhino population
The Annual Camel Derby
This is an annual sporting event that attracts competitors from America to Australia. It is normally held in Maralal town among the Samburu People, every other August. Apart from participating in the race, one will get to mingle with the people here and get to understand their culture, admire their tribal artifacts and be entertained with their cultural music among many other things.
Bull Fighting
This is a legendary sport that has been there ever since. The fighting involves bulls that have be purposely been bred to fight. The prizes are given to the owner of the winning bull. Donkey racing
This occurs in the historical town of Lamu, in Kenya's superb coast. This is an annual event held during the Maulidi festivals. Apart from donkey racing there is also dhow racing and cultural exhibitions by the locals. Due to its location, people attending this event will get to visit the beach and witness fishermen at work. |
