Golf

Kenya has 40 golfing destinations, set in various locations in the country. Some are sited at the coast, the Capital City and Mt. Kenya region among other places. They range from 9-hole to 18-hole. The country's weather is ideal for golfing all year round.

The Tusker Safari Sevens Rugby Tournament

This rugby event draws international competitors to showcase not only power but also skills too during the game. It is a world-class event. The event is normally accompanied by other social events that include concerts by famous African musicians. It is an event in its own class.

The Standard Marathon

This is an annual running event that is held in the capital, Nairobi. It is among the four big races in the world, dubbed 'the greatest races on earth'. The event attracts more that 10,000 participants from allover the world. It is normally held in October. This is where both the novice and experts in the business get to meet. It is a good event to test your fitness and witness Kenya's athletes exhibit their athletic dexterousness.

The Safari Rally

This annual event that comes in July, attracts both local and international rally drivers, thousands of spectators and fans from allover come to witness it. The Rhino Charge

This annual event is held in May. It involves driving your 4WD Vehicle through rugged landscape, bush, dry watercourse and rocky terrain to reach the finishing zone. The event is mainly organized to raise funds for Rhino Ark that deals in conservation of wildlife in the Aberdare National Park, which is inhabited by the Black Rhino population

The Annual Camel Derby

This is an annual sporting event that attracts competitors from America to Australia. It is normally held in Maralal town among the Samburu People, every other August. Apart from participating in the race, one will get to mingle with the people here and get to understand their culture, admire their tribal artifacts and be entertained with their cultural music among many other things.

Bull Fighting

This is a legendary sport that has been there ever since. The fighting involves bulls that have be purposely been bred to fight. The prizes are given to the owner of the winning bull. The event also showcases the culture of the luhya people; among them the luhyas' renowned music Isikuti . During a visit tot the event one gets to see the 'the weeping stone' in Kakamega and the infamous Kakamega forest.

Donkey racing

This occurs in the historical town of Lamu, in Kenya's superb coast. This is an annual event held during the Maulidi festivals. Apart from donkey racing there is also dhow racing and cultural exhibitions by the locals. Due to its location, people attending this event will get to visit the beach and witness fishermen at work.
